Decide with your family that you will make sure to notice loving and kind deeds, at home or while out. Provide phones or cameras for a day and let the children and family members film the loving deeds. It could be someone preparing a snack for someone else, someone picking up trash at the park, a big brother helping his younger brother or sister make his bed, Mom making an extra special meal, Dad preparing a special outing, etc. At the end of the day (or week), invite the other family/friends and set up your living room as a cinema. Cut out the ticket cards and pass them out for seats and snacks. Post a big “Cinema night” sign and close the curtains or shutters to make the room dark. If you have a projector, use it! Now you’re ready to enjoy all your family films of kindness. Feel free to use the discussion questions provided, for after the viewing (see extra card on right side of page).
