Brain stimulation

My husband and I were having a conversation this morning about the brain stimulation, and how in the world today, both for little ones and grownups, we are so overloaded with stuff that we don’t even seem have much time to think. If we are inactive for one minute, we feel we’re not getting something done. I found out that it’s actually the contrary. Keeping our minds always on the go, is counterproductive. It seems to stifle creativity and imagination.

I decided to take a close look at my life, on a day to day basis and see how that fits in with me. I came to the conclusion that from morning to night, I’m there trying to figure out ways to be more productive, thus doing more at the same time. How can I juggle just one more thing? How can I fit this into my already overloaded schedule? Easy – I multitask! – at least it seems to be the solution to all busy mom’s problems, right?

Or maybe it’s wrong! I’ve realized that I sometimes just need time to do nothing, believe it or not. If I want to think about our future, to reflect on the past, to add some spiritual meaning to our lives, I need those times to reflect. I think I’ll be taking some of that just about now, so see you next time! I need my “nothing-time”.
